Volunteer Co-ordinator

St Mary Magdalene Church, Gorleston, is looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to recruit, support and develop the volunteers who make our community work possible.
Our activities include a foodbank, lunch club, community café, youth club, toddler group, gardening, beekeeping and community workshop. You will help volunteers find the right role, organise rotas and training, and ensure they feel welcomed, valued and supported. A key part of the role is enabling people with learning disabilities or additional needs to enjoy volunteering and contribute to community life.
We are looking for a committed Christian with excellent listening and interpersonal skills, experience of leading and enabling others, and strong organisational and administrative skills. You will be a compassionate team player who shares our mission:

Role details
Hours: 20 hours per week.
Salary: £26,790–£27,588 full-time equivalent, paid pro rata.
Contract: Permanent, subject to a three-month probationary period.
Location: St Mary Magdalene Church, Magdalen Square, Gorleston, NR31 7BZ.
Reports to: Deputy Community Lead.
Benefits: NEST pension offered and 25 days’ annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays.
